The Duyen scarf inspired by the Tiger paintings of Hàng Trống (Hanoi).

In Vietnamese folklore, the Tiger is a sacred animal, sanctified by God.

In Hàng Trống's gallery, there is a set of 4 tiger paintings, including:

Green Tiger represents the element of Wood, corresponding to the East.

Black Tiger represents the element of Water, corresponding to the North.

Red Tiger represents the element of Fire, corresponding to the South.

White Tiger represents the element of Metal, corresponding to the West.

Hàng Trống artists use a technique that subtly interchanges light and dark colours to illustrate the creature’s dignity and majesty. The Tiger paintings are both dynamic and majestic, and have a fluidity that is unique to this technique.

Duyen is proud to use 100% Vietnamese silk, with hand-sewn seams following the traditional Ao Dai art.
