Rat's Wedding Scarf 90
SKU:DG0006LMô tả
The Duyên scarf inspired by the "Rat's wedding" from the traditional Đông Hồ painting in Bac Ninh.
The painting is a combination of humorous thinking and the delicate metaphor of the artists.
The cat represents the ruling class in ancient society. The mice are a metaphor for an honest and hard-working farmer. The rat family, in order to have a smooth wedding, must deliver food to the cat. The painting “Rat’s Wedding" was born to satirize deeply the unjust, old-fashioned, and rotten feudalism, always crushing the gentle and innocent peasants.
In the current days, the painting has no longer had the meaning of criticism but generates a feeling of excitement and joy.
Duyên is proud to use 100% Vietnamese silk, with hand-sewn seams following the traditional Ao Dai art.
Measures: 90x90cm.
