"The girl who plays the harp" painting Scarf 50
SKU:DG0015MMô tả
The Duyên scarf inspired by the four-piece Tố nữ (four girls) painting of Hàng Trống (Hanoi) folk paintings.
The set of Tố nữ paintings conveys the charisma of the artist by not only depicting the most typical features of a girl with ponytail and five-body Ao Dai, but in subtle tones that conveythe deep qualities of the 4 musical instruments appearing in the painting. The four girls are of unequal height: the girl who holds the fan is the shortest, next is the one who plays the castanet with stringed coins, then a girl who plays the flute, finally the tallest is the girl who plays the harp. The harp createst the highest tone, followed by the flute, then the clack of the castanet, and finally the slightest sound of the fan. A key point of olden artisans’ work includes the use of mathematically calculated height to express the high and low tones of sound.
The four females on Duyen's scarf, together with peach blossoms, lotus flowers, dahlia and yellow chrysanthemums, represent the beauty of the four seasons, combining youthfulness and the depth of ancient beauty.
Duyên is proud to use 100% Vietnamese silk, with hand-sewn seams following the traditional Ao Dai art.
